Through growing up together, we have gained an understanding on the importance of reliable childcare as well as the challenges families face when searching for trustworthy caregivers. That's why we've created this platform, to simplify the process and provide peace of mind to parents and Syttrs alike.

Explore common questions from babysitters and parents who have used Sytter.
You can set your schedule under Settings → Profile → Availability. Choose your working days, hours, and repeating options. Families can view and book you based on your updated availability.
Outdated – under review. Babysitters are paid securely through the app after completing a job. Payments are deposited directly once both you and the family click “End Job.”
- Keep your availability updated and open. More availability = more bookings.
- Write a detailed, engaging bio about you and your past experience.
- Add certifications like CPR or babysitting training.
- Upload a clear, friendly profile photo.
All sitters complete interviews, reference checks, and ID verification. Babysitters are required to purchase single background checks through our selected screening partner, Chekr.
No certifications are required, but having CPR or First Aid training will help you stand out during the interview process and attract more families.
Most babysitters set rates between $22–$27/hour, depending on experience. Families usually pay near your listed rate.
You can:
- Filter a new booking by date and time, then view the babysitters that are available based on your specifications.
- Post a booking request on the job board, which lets sitters choose to accept the job and send you a request that you can approve or decline.
All sitters on our platform undergo thorough screening, including an interview, reference checks, and identity verification to help ensure the safety of your family. Many of our babysitters are local and have grown up in the area.
Payments can be made securely through the app. You can add your card in settings, and payments are processed safely for both you and your sitter.
If your regular sitter is unavailable, you can quickly search for other sitters who match your preferences and availability and send them a booking request.
Yes. After each booking you can leave a review and rating. Your feedback helps other families choose the right sitter.
Our app uses your preferences, dates, and location to surface sitters who are the best fit. You can also manually search based on experience, availability, and distance.
